Vice-President of Tanzania visits New Dawn
We always envisioned New Dawn Communities being established in other countries. Having already done pastoral ministry in Tanzania since 2003, we had developed a good leadership team there. In 2012 some tribal Elders from Ishinde Village heard about New Dawn and offered us 50 acres of land for our school. So began the intentional planning and preparations for our next community. In 2014 we formed our indigenous board and officially incorporated with the government. We fenced our property, drilled a well, installed a generator and . . .
New Dawn Communities began as a project of World Christian Outreach. WCO was founded by Stanton Herpick in 1976 and is based in Moreno Valley, CA. During the late 1990’s, Stan was leading groups of mission minded people to Kenya, in order to share the love and teachings of Jesus. By 2001, the need for a high school for orphaned youth became apparent, and in 2005, our first school was opened in Kenya. Our "Pioneer" class graduatedin 2009. Since then, we have seen over 300 of our students graduate from New Dawn, many of which have now earnedtheir degrees from university.
Most importantly, you can become an Intercessor.Pray for us as we seek to enrich the lives of orphans in Kenya & Tanzania. Volunteer your time and even go on a trip to see personally how lives are being changed.
