January 2021, Looking Forward With Eternal Hope

With all that is going on in our nation, Jesus taught us to pray, "Father... Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." May that be the united cry of the hearts of God's people during these days of upheaval.

As we were just reminded in our Christmas celebration, Jesus is Emmanuel, "God with us" .

Jesus is with us in this storm, as He was when He took authority over the circumstances that threatened the disciples on the Sea of Galilee.
He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, "Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?"  Luke 8:25   

So, we with an eternal hope sincerely pray that this will be a joy filled and healthy New Year, even if the wind and the waves are raging about us.

As for an update from our New Dawn Communities in Kenya and Tanzania, Our students finished up their school year in early December, and when we get the results back of their national exams, we will let you know how they did. Now in January, we have just admitted 36 incoming freshman students who, like the photo above, come to us a bit timid, yet very excited for their life changing opportunity to live at New Dawn Community for the next four years.

It costs us $120 per month, per student to care for and mentor them. For those of you who are on our sponsorship team, may God bless you for your compassion and generosity. For our many other supporters, would you consider "adopting" one of our new students, they will be so grateful for your support and you will be so blessed, knowing that you are making a significant and tangible change in the life of a precious young soul.
