A Message from the Director: Ron Sukut
With the Olympic Games approaching, I’ve been thinking about the importance of Condition and Position in relation to success. In any competition, champions keep themselves as fit as possible. They strive for the best position, giving them an advantage in their contest. At New Dawn, we have been working very hard for the last couple of years to do the same. We have assembled a fantastic team of volunteers which has significantly improved our organizational condition. We are in better shape than ever. Additionally, despite the recent challenges, we find ourselves in a better position as an organization, ready to make a strong move into the next “leg of the race.” We are encouraged by the admonition of the Apostle Paul, As you run your race, run to win” (1 Cor. 9:24).

Our Tanzania director’s son, Nick, recently got married to his lovely bride Winnie. It was a true celebration. Here is what Nick has to say:
I'm a teacher of Civics and Bible Knowledge at New Dawn Tanzania. I’ve been blessed to have my wife Winnie and Pastor Ron join us on 04/10/2021 here. I've been serving God at New Dawn in academics, as well as choirmaster, music, sports, and games. Together with other teachers, I’ve been working on making our environment well. From this month I’ll be helping in the vegetable farm. New Dawn is not just a school to me. It is more of a family, a home where there is love. I feel so proud to be a
father and a brother to my students, when they talk to me and give me their stories and backgrounds. When we talk, I see them improving. We tell them that our today may be the result of our yesterday, but our tomorrow depends on our decisions today. These kinds of words have changed the lives of our students.
I don't know if I have always presented myself well, but the transformation I see in students’ lives, and the future that they will have, gives me courage to love them and continue praying for them.
We are currently finishing up a rainwater reclamation cistern for the irrigation of our crops. We are also beginning the construction of a Chicken House. This can provide food for the students and any surplus can be taken to market.
Our immediate need is to raise funds for the completion of our Biology and Chemistry Laboratory. These facilities are required by the Dept. of Education and we estimate the cost to be approximately $100,000.

What You Can Do
Could you help an orphan youth run their race to win? You can do so by:
Praying for our New Dawn team, as we run our “Leg of the race."
The current student body at New Dawn Tanzania is comprised of 112 Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. In January, we will be admitting our fourth class of freshmen, bringing us to a full capacity of nearly 150 students. While many of our students are sponsored,
some are still looking for help. We need sponsors for 23 of our current students and the 36 arriving in January 2022. For those who already sponsor one or more of these amazing youth,
If you haven’t sponsored a student, would you be in a position and in a condition to help one or more of these precious youth run their race to win?
