![]() As we mentioned in the January newsletter our 36 “pioneer” students from the first class of 2019 graduated in December. They all received a secondary school diploma that will enable them to enter further vocational training or local junior college. However 30 of the students received scores high enough to qualify for Advance Secondary School- a two year course that will prepare them for acceptance into a National University. This privilege to extend the educational training of these students is now a reality for the New Dawn Community to build a campus extension for this graduation class and future graduates. The entire student body and teaching staff members are excited about this education extension, which has been a vision for our students. Advance Secondary School Fundraising GoalWith the generous gifts and donations received in fourth quarter of 2022 we are now completing the Tanzania Laboratory Project, a permanent free standing building with 2 large classrooms and 2 smaller lab rooms. We are now focused on raising funds for the plan to build the Secondary School extension. To accomplish this goal we will need to build four new classrooms and equip each with the desks, advanced level curriculum, and school supplies. In addition we will need to build 2 dorm rooms with 15 beds each. We estimate the build out for the Secondary School and furnishing expense to be $ 120,000
New StudentsWe now have 36 new freshman students that have arrived, most are orphans and are amazed that they find themselves living and learning at New Dawn Community. The students marvel at their fresh clothes, their very own beds, plenty of fresh food, caring mentors, teachers and supportive classmates. For most of our students, the environment at New Dawn is so much nicer than what they are accustomed to. The students at New Dawn receive the 4 year education, food and shelter at no cost due to the compassionate donor partners who sponsor them. Our monthly expense is $125 per student. Would you be able to help us care for these precious youth by becoming a sponsor? Please prayerfully consider making a donation to this important fundraiser.
